Map Tab

This is where the main construction takes place. The building of your space and planet occur here. You can select, add, delete and move locations. Link them together to create movement.

Commands

These are the building blocks of the map. What you do here affects the overall look of the map.

Commands in more details:

Inserts a location. Adds a location to the map at the point you select.

Deletes a location. Removes a location from the map at the point you select.

Moves a location. Press Select button then choose location to move. Press Move button then choose destination location. The Selected location can be moved multiple times.

Links a location with another. Press Select button then choose location to move from. Press a direction button to choose direction movement. Press Link button then choose location to move to. You can link to multiple locations by pressing a direction button without having to select the move from location each time.

Selects a location. Displays a map location information at the point you select. This location is then used with the Move and Link buttons as the start location.

Confirms the present command selected.

Directions

These are the key to creating movement between locations. Without them you will end up with a one (1) location map however many locations you add.

Directions in more detail:

North.

North East.

East.

South East.

South.

South West.

West.

North West.

Up.

Down.

In.

Out.

Confirms the present direction selected.

Connections

This is the place that connects your system to the rest of the universe. Without these you are all alone. A universe with one (1) space, one (1) planet, one (1) owner and not one (1) single visitor . . . do you really want that?

Connections in more detail:

This holds the location that has the link to the rest of the universe. Select a location for your link then press this button to set. This will not be used unless you press the apply button. Space map access only.

This holds the location that has the position of the planet in space. Select a location for your planet then press this button to set. This will not be used unless you press the apply button. Space map access only.

This tells your planet the way to the rest of the universe. Once you set the link and orbit positions use this button while editing any planet map. This is the only place that applies these locations setting. Planet map access only.

There are two (2) boxes, link and orbit, that tell you which locations will be used when you set them for the planet.

Layout

This is the place you put all your planning and developement together. Only a fraction of the total map is displayed. Use the scroll bars to the right and bottom to see other parts.

Layout in more detail:

A location that does not exist. You can add this location once it has been selected.

A location that does exist. You can move, delete and link this location once it has been seleted.

A selected location. This is the location that you can move, delete and link. You can also modify the description by selecting the locations tab.

Each red dot outside represent a compass direction. The four (4) red dots inside represent up, down, in and out. All directions are represented by either a red arrow or a red dot.
